Fundraising

Imagine, as a child, having nowhere to play, rarely going out and having few friends to have fun with. Horrible isn’t it?  Yet that is the situation facing many disabled children today due to the continuing lack of support and understanding of disability in society. It is CHIPS goal to provide a fun, safe and integrated environment for children of all ages to play and socially interact.

CHIPS has just been assessed by the new Hertfordshire Review of Specialist Playschemes. The report looks at the provision of playschemes in a County setting and concluded that because CHIPS actively fundraise rather than rely solely upon support from local councils, it enables them to meet 85% of what county estimate as the local need in East Herts, as compared with a County wide average of only 40%. This clearly shows the popularity and value of our provision and what our extensive fundraising is achieving.

CHIPS is only part funded by Councils which mean that we rely heavily upon fundraising and the kind generosity of people like you.

Future Fundraising Events

Team Krysko - Three Peaks Challenge - Maria & Dennis Kyrsko are taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Walk for the third consecutive year on saturday 22nd May. This year they are completing the walk on behalf of Marias' sister Teresa and her husband Bob who have reached 60! They have requested donations to CHIPS. You can sponsor them through Virgin Money Giving.  Donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

Jason & Madiria - Royal Parks Half Marathon - Madiria is a seasoned runner and has convinced Jason to start running.  This is their first half marathon, and they need your support in completing the distance and raising some money for a very worthy cause. You can sponsor them through Virgin Money Giving.  Donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
